Rate floors that survive a slow week

Most carriers already know their all-in cost. The failure is not math — it is a dispatcher who books below the floor because the board looks thin at 4 p.m.

We write the floor as a number the owner can see, then we work two lanes ahead so the truck is not forced into a panic load. If the market is truly dead, we say so. Cheap freight that burns hours is not a win.

Review the floor monthly. Fuel, insurance, and empty miles move. A floor from last winter is not a strategy.
