Report a bad or unsafe commercial driver

Seen reckless driving, handheld phone use, unsecured cargo, or another CMV safety problem on the road? File it with the U.S. DOT / FMCSA through the official National Consumer Complaint Database — we put the link here so anyone can get there in one click.

Emergency right now? Call 911 or local law enforcement. NCCDB is for past safety events — not live emergencies.

FMCSA accepts complaints about commercial motor vehicle safety. Examples include reckless or unsafe driving, handheld device use, dangerous equipment, unsecured cargo, or suspected lack of authority / insurance. Traffic enforcement on the road still belongs to state and local police.

Reckless / unsafe driving

Speeding, weaving, aggressive lane changes, following too closely, or other dangerous CMV behavior.

Distracted driving

Commercial driver using a handheld phone or tablet while operating a truck or bus.

Cargo & equipment

Unsecured load, leaking tank, missing lights, or other obvious equipment safety problems.
